Avid golfers need no excuse to hit the links any time of year. But in August, players are encouraged to introduce new golfers to the game by sharing their experiences and advice. That’s because this month is designated as National Golf Month!

The 2023 Marple Newtown 4th of July Parade was one for the record books! The weather was perfect, the streets were packed with patriotic spectators, and the excitement in the air was electric. 

A long-time Marple resident donated several old high school diplomas to the Historical Society last week, one for Marple school and one for Newtown. Neither of the schools was a “Marple-Newtown” school because that idea was realized several years later.
