The August Casey’s Public House Student of the Month is Chloe Hand, who received a Certificate of Achievement and a $25 gift card from Casey’s Public House, our Sponsor of this program. Chloe will be a Senior at Marple Newtown High School (MNHS) in September. Some of her favorite classes have been U.S. History, Psychology and AP Language and Composition.
Chloe enjoys taking on a large role in numerous MNHS clubs, including being the President of the History Honor Society and Treasurer of the English Honor Society and a member of the Science Honor Society, not to mention being a member of the National Honor Society since Sophomore year. In her Senior year, she hopes to improve upon her already high GPA of 4.2.
As Vice President of the MNHS Class of 2023 and also the Student Council, it’s hard to imagine when Chloe has time to be a Leader for the Renaissance Program which encourages its members to get involved, keep their grades up and have good attendance. Add to that the fact that Chloe also takes part in the high school’s Hospitality Committee Mini-thon, which raises funds for pediatric cancer research, and it’s easy to see what makes Chloe such an outstanding Student of the Month!
While Chloe isn’t quite sure which college she’ll call home a year from now, she’s leaning towards majoring in Clinical Psychology, and hopes to participate in the study abroad program and to travel as much as possible.
Chloe, your Marple Newtown Friends & Neighbors congratulate you on receiving this award, and for taking such a leading role in MNHS’s Class of 2023 clubs and government!
Any grade 7-12 student who resides within the border of the Marple Newtown School District may be nominated by a parent, teacher or other adult who submits in writing some ways the student demonstrates Excellence in Service to friendship, school or other local communities.
