Congratulations, Michaela!

Marple Friends & Neighbors, June 2026

This month, we are proud to shine the spotlight on Michaela MacWilliams, a Senior at Marple Newtown High School. She is an exceptional student whose character, leadership and compassion make her truly deserving of recognition.

Michaela is deeply involved in supporting students with special needs and consistently goes above and beyond to ensure they feel included, supported and valued. She participates in the Minithon, Feeding Fellow Americans, Tiger Pride and Best Buddies. She also serves as the president of the school’s anti-bullying program, where she leads initiatives that promote kindness, respect and a safe environment for all students. She is the type of person who will always stand up for someone who cannot stand up for themselves.

Outside the classroom, Michaela works as a Manager at Junior Playland. She is also the quarterback and Captain of Marple’s girls’ flag football team, where she leads with positivity, teamwork and determination. Next year, Michaela will attend West Chester University, where she’ll major in Special Ed.

Michaela, you are a remarkable role model for your peers and a shining example of what it means to lead with empathy and integrity. Thank you for all you do!

You get to choose! Who is our next Student of the Month?

You’ve seen them featured in our magazine—now it’s your chance to decide who’s next!

We’re looking for students in grades 7–12 who make a difference in their schools, communities, among friends or through local organizations. Nominees must live in Marple, Newtown Square or Edgmont, no matter which school they attend—or if they’re homeschooled. Email LJeffries@BestVersionMedia.com. We’re celebrating character, not just credentials, so academic or athletic accomplishments are not required.
